One Year of Jeffery Thomas

Our little Jeffery Thomas is 1 year old today.  Where has the time gone?  Every birthday this year has been so special for us....and yummy (thanks to Pearl's cupcakes!!)...and we can't believe our little boy is turning 1.  

BIRTH DAY!  

1 week Birthday.  Celebrated with mommy and daddy and Oma (what my mom has decided she wants to be called.  It is German for "grandma") and Grandpa Jeff (still working on his name).  Favorite things: sleeping, watching the Tour de France, eating....eating....eating, watching NASCAR with Grandpa and sitting in his bouncy seat.

One Month Birthday.  Celebrated with mommy and daddy.  Favorite new things: being swaddled, AM static radio, being on his changing table, and licks from Rusty.

Two Month birthday.  Celebrate in Arizona with mommy and Oma and Grandpa Jeff....daddy was back in VA.  Favorite new things: ceiling fans, laying on ottomans, swimming in Oma's and Grandpa's pool, and having toes licked by furry cousin Bailey.  

Three Month Birthday.  Celebrated with mommy and daddy.  Favorite new things: walks in the neighborhood, walks in Maymont Park, trips to Carter Orchards, his bear suit, Queenie (the amazing woman who watched him weekly) and smiling.

Four Month Birthday.  Celebrated with mommy and daddy and Oma (who was visiting)!!  Favorite new things: the UR girls who came to babysit him, having been a Banana for Halloween, and laughing.

Five Month Birthday.  Celebrated with mommy and daddy.  Favorite new things: sleeping in his crib, his mobile with his flying giraffes, his dog suit, laughing, laughing with daddy, Sophie the Giraffe, and his buzzy bee on his car seat.

Six and Seven Month Birthday.  Sadly...and I am shocked by this...we are missing a 6 month picture.  We had just returned from 10 days in AZ and CA and were a little overwhelmed and homesick.   But both were celebrated with mommy and daddy.  Favorite new things: BoBo the Monkey, his blue Elephant (yet to be named...that is horrid!), being in his ExerSaucer and rolling over.

Eight Month birthday.  Celebrated with mommy and daddy.  Favorite new things: Laura (his new babysitter and one of the girls in Dave's choir at UR), Queenie...again!, pushing himself up when on his tummy, Skyping with Oma and Grandpa Jeff (okay....not new but this is the time that he really started to become fun while Skyping and started to babble and smile at them....and reach for them) and nap time.

Nine Month Birthday.  Celebrated with mommy and daddy.  Favorite new things: his new bunny (stuffed), solid foods that don't have texture, his sleep sack, sitting in the front yard with mommy and daddy and playing with the grass, putting everything into his mouth, and playing "where's Jeffery?".

10 Month birthday.  Celebrated with mommy and daddy.  Favorite new things: doing his army crawl on the floor (his version of crawling), sitting in his highchair.

11 Month Birthday.  Celebrated with mommy and daddy.  Favorite new things: playing with plastic lids  (don't ask...I have no idea why), playing with his toy train, playing with all the blocks, chewing on the wood blocks, playing with his stackable rings, singing with mommy and daddy, chasing after his soccer ball (still doing the army crawl thing), playing with Lucy (the corgi) next door, 

12 Month Birthday.  Celebrated with mommy and daddy and Aunt Julie Pedersen and Uncle Eric Pedersen.  Delayed celebration will follow in 2 weeks in the Crystal River Valley in Colorado with Oma and Grandpa Jeff, Aunt Julie Harris and Great Aunt Weezie and Great Uncle Joe!!!!  Favorite new things: walking around the house (while holding on to our hands), singing in church...when everyone is silent, running in the house (while holding on to our hands), belly laughs, his sleep time doggie, Bo the Bear, sitting up by himself, watered down lemonade, going to Richmond Flying Squirrel's Games, playing in his pack and play, chasing after his buzzy bee ball, watching the Euro Cup, watching "Dinosaur Train".

We love you Jeffery Thomas!!!!  Happy Birthday!!!!
