Forget the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton! The wedding of the year took place this past weekend in Mesa, AZ!!! Our friends and the godparents to our child FINALLY got married!!!! Dave and I could not be happier for them!!!! And we could not have been more honored when they asked both of us to be in the wedding and help them celebrate the joyful day!

They had a beautiful wedding at All Saints Catholic Church in east Mesa. The ceremony was so meaningful and Father O'Keefe gave a homily that we would like to have the recording of so that we could listen to it on days when we need a pick-me-up. It was so hopeful and joyful and inspiring....and a fantastic tribute to Jason and Barbara and their love for each other!
We then had a grand time at the reception.

Barbara decided to make her colors for the wedding match those found in an Arizona sunset. Her three bridesmaids were in Orange, Fuchsia, and Green....which came together very nicely. However....it meant that since I was wearing the fuchsia color, Dave also had to wear fuchsia. While he complained about this....he actually looked VERY nice in the shirt! :)

Dave and I have known Jason for 13 years and we have known Barbara for 10 years. For 9 of those years, we have lived in other states, far away from each other. But ours is one of those friendships where even though you haven't seen the other for a long time, it feels like you saw them just yesterday and you pick up right where you left off. I LOVE those kinds of friendships!

It meant the world for us to be a part of Jason and Barbara's big day....many years in the making! There is no place we would have rather been!! Salud Jason and Barbara!! We love you both so very much!
