Jakob Becket

Three years ago, with David and Lauren Tompkins by my side, Jakob Becket....my Bear....came roaring into this world after an 8 hour labor and 3 pushes....and our world has, blessedly, never been the same. Since his arrival, he has been surrounded by fierce love, contagious laughter and the sounds of trains and NASCAR and his brother filling his ears. He spent his first year as our somber, reserved child. I was certain he was going to be a theologian or philosopher (he still may). But now....he is our looting, loud, hilarious, beyond sweet spirit, total bear cub with his brother, only cuddler in the house, stubborn, loud (it's worth mentioning a second time) Viking. Our family would be lost without him. Happy Birthday, Jakob Becket.
